Just finished my slight redesign of the page. I also thought that ´Nintendo-Revolution´ was a better title. The old one was a bit long. Since I know virtually nothing about HTML, please let me know if you have any trouble viewing this. The recommended browser for this page remains Firefox.
EDIT Again, I sincerely apologize for the technical problems the redesign caused. For some reason, comments were automatically deleted and my updates vanished too. That is why the logos still looked half-baked and the font was wrong. I hope to have fixed the problems. Please stick with this page. Updates will be coming very soon.

Cool! Thanks for answering my question on the other topic about the name change. Nintendo-Revolution is the blog website name so you might as well name it the same thing right? Your profile name looks the same too, thats good I guess. I wonder how many people know about you now? You have become probably the most trusted blogger on the net for Revolution news
Falafelkid, man I love you, but I have to be honest. Personally I hate the redesign, but thats just my opinion, so whatever.
I think that the topics on the right side for the "good" the "bad" and the "ugly" blogs looks kinda out of place but I'm sure he will probably make some changes, seeing that he just finished with this layout.
Hi Metaldave. Hi Anonym. Thanks for your comments. I realise that not everyone will like it. But I just felt like a change. Anyway, thanks for both your comments. Hope you will still come here as often.
Someone that doesn't visit this site because of a layout change is really stupid. We all come here for the honest news you post and not for the look(well I do). Just keep the good topics coming and I'm sure no one will care about the look after a while. :)
Do not like the redesign - love the site
Hi Arsenis. Thanks for the comment. I´d have been overjoyed with a C- already... ;)
Running Firefox (not updated, as it doesn't ever finish downloading) on Windows 98 SE, the Google Ads and the Google Firefox Taskbar things flash about when you load the page. They sometimes stop after around 10 seconds, but sometimes don't.
Man Falafelkid, I'd say I love you but I'm not that kind of guy. lol. I love your blog though. It's awesome. The slight change? well B-, I know you can do better!
BTW, check out my site;
www.nintendoplayers.com
is this the final layout or are you still tweaking?
Redesign looks good. Went from clean and quiet to restless. But I won't hold that against you ;)
I couldn't access my site or your site for a long time today. I was getting that 403 forbidden thing. Rawmeatcowboy told me the same thing about your site. Have you been having those same problems Fala?
First off, always love the site and you dude.
But yeah seriously, not a good redesign. Personally, I really liked the old name. It had a charm, like the title of a thesis or something, which I think is more suited to the informed analysis you provide as compared to many others. But whatever,
onto the graphic. I just don't understand why there are arrows pointing down. I think it implies the blog is intended to be negative.
Or is the text being loaded into the dock? ... which by the way I personally believe to be the most integral part to the whole Revolution secret saga, yet funnily is never discussed. Also, orange? -yuck.
Anyway, that was my rant!
Do you see the "ON" an the end of "RevolutiON?? Ohmy god teh ON is r3al!!!!
Umm nearly looks the same. It's fine.
On a different note the internet shits me with so many fussy people caring about if people use caps or over sensitive about things.
Hi,
I love the site and come here nearly every day and will continue to do so, but I must agree with some others that my first impresions of the redesign aren't good, specially that if you make the browser narrow the text has no separation from the edge of the browser to the right, I am also not too kee on the orange logo, although I prefer the new title. But men, at the end of the day, it's your blog so do what you like and keep up the good work with your articles!
Wenn die Schrift wieder die alte größe hätte, fände ich das neue Design nichtmal so schlecht.
Too many downwards pointing arrows... almost like a bad omen
I don't see what the big deal is, it really is only a slight redesign. The logo looks a little off to me, but otherwise the only bad thing I can see is that the side bar is really far down on the page.
Try to bring the font down one size.
Yeah, dont really like the new design but it's not going to deter me from coming. Love the site :)
Falafel,
Pls. change it back or at least have a smoother-looking font.
*piqeon*
From and artist standpoint, its good to change things..but this is just a dramatic change. Text and fonts are to hard on the eyes...good run though...I hope you change it soon..kinda hard to look at
Sorry, but the fonts look cheap and ugly to me. Keep on going with interesting news and i won't complain :)
Azrev you associate yourself with Osoko Tanaka (Tenaka as u call him) so you as much full of bs as he is.
Does your opinion count?
for me it doesnt suit your style it used to look like you know what your talking about but now it looks like another fannboy blog, mainly because of the fairly uninventive name.
but from a visual standpoint its fine.
we all know you know what your talking about so your blog should reflect that.
http://www.tgdaily.com/2006/02/04/nintendo_voice_conversion_application/
"Nintendo of America filed for a patent to cover voice to text chat conversion. Patent application 20060025214 was filed in July 29, 2004 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), but has only appeared on the agency's website recently. Nintendo believes that voice to text conversion could enhance online games by altering color and font size of text depending on the tone and amplitude of the speaker's voice.
Online games have had voice chat for a while, but Nintendo claims in the patent application that this may not work too well and says, "If a 12 year old boy is playing the role of a 40 year old warrior, voice chat can spoil or detract from the game play experience since the warrior ends up having the voice of a 12 year old." The solution is to let you speak normally and have the software convert the speech into text. Of course, mere text cannot convey emotion so Nintendo wants to change the format of the speech in response to changes in your voice. Font size can change along with the amplitude or loudness of your voice. So if you scream into the microphone the text would appear quite big on the screen. In addition, Nintendo wants to have the color change in response to the tone of your voice."
cool.
The redesign looks terrible in Internet Explorer.
I dont care for the redesign much either myself, and to the anonymous above the one above me, that voice to text chat is not new news really, look a few posts below falafel's redesign one you'll see its already been covered there
Hi everyone. Again, I sincerely apologize for the technical problems the redesign caused. For some reason, comments were automatically deleted and my updates vanished too. That is why the logos still looked half-baked and the font was wrong. I hope to have fixed the problems.
I´m just testing if the comments really do stay on the page now. Thanks for your continued support, and sorry for the awkward look in the meantime.
I think the new site is fine but I liked the old title much better.
Hi Runnin_Blue. Well, I just hope you see everything the way I intended it. The logos looked silly and out of place without the beveled edges. They should be visible now, I hope. Thanks for your patience.
My comment never dissapeared, and reading your update i dont think anyone would stop reading your blog just becouse of a redesign or temperary glitches caused by a redesign
ya must say i agree completely with fifstar
*Phew* I´m relieved the probs with comments disappearing seem to be over. About the blog´s title: I just thought it would be best to have it reflect the URL. But if you all think it´s too bland (a valid point), I´ll change it to ´Nintendo-Revolution: Definitive speculation´ in the next few days. The font is here to stay, I´m afraid. I absolutely love it. Hope you all stay with this blog regardless ;) Thanks again for your patience. Looks like I´m finally back in business. (Currently calling Midway about that job offer listing, on which the Revolution platform disappeared.)
looks good to me! kkeep up the great work! GAMEON!
of course we will still read your blog even with the ugly font lol
That Font looks awkward, but nevermind! I'll stay here! Can't get me outta here so easily, so i guess you have to live with me!
Blogger is been having some issues lately.
Post would post then they would disappear and reappear etc.
Blogger is supposed to go down in half hour from now!
Feb6
Yep and who knows how long it will be down for this time. At least we know ahead of time.
Check out this FLASH Revolution interative menu:
http://revoeyes.blogspot.com/2006/02/flash-revolution-menu-system.html
Yeah I think it's strange that two companies now have removed the Nintendo Revolution reference from ads that they posted after the press/public picked up on them.
They wouldn't have put them there in the first place if it was a mistake.
What is the secret they are trying to keep?
Falafelkid, use those powers of research you are so good at and try to find out what's the story here.
I posted this earlier, before it got deleted =( Nice job on the redesign Falafel. Subtle and Sleek just like the Revolution. Keep up the good work!
Your font is way to big, and it makes the page very un organised and messy, please put the font back to normal :( :( :(
Another little off topic from me!
IGN said that activision had announced a game for launch of the Revo.
A quote:
""February 6, 2006 - In its fiscal 2006 conference call this afternoon, Activision confirmed that it is under development with and will have at least one game ready in the first four months of Nintendo's next generation console, codenamed Revolution. The publisher's CEO and chairman, Robert Kotick, said that the game would arrive in Activision's fiscal 2007, which ranges from April 2006 to March 2007. This could very well mean that the game will be a Revolution launch title, although the executive would not elaborate on a hard release date for the still-unspecified project.
IGN Revolution is able to confirm that Activision readied a Revolution development team as far back as October of 2005, giving it ample time to work on the still-secret game.""
Another good news for us.

Ey Andi,
-THE INFAMOUS-ANONYMOUS-LIGHT- SHEDER
"What a pleasure"
Light shedder as i recal since you are fully capable of speaking english that falafel had asked you to post in english since that is the preferred language of this blog, if you couldnt speak english then it would be understandable but you have shown us all that you are fully capable of doing so. is just me or is tha you started out as a pretty coll person on here that contributed to the comments but as of lately you have been becoming more and more annoying
What means coll?
Ah you mean collaborate..
Ey Blizz no need for alarm I just added my short opinion about the redesign..nothing out of order or important.
My English is still quite amateurish I'm afraid so that makes a little bit hard for me sometimes to keep up you know what I'm saying?
By the way Blizz, have you heard anything about when the next Non Phixion album is about to drop?Looking forward to it..
Ups: that makes it
Again another little off topic from me...
Halo creator Jason Jones seem interested in developing a third person shooter for revolution.
The news on joystiq:
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/02/07
/halo-creator-interested-in
-nintendos-revolution/
And now a big OT...
Infamous Light SHAMER if you can read and write in english why you don't use it? Please be nice and use english.
Thank you
Luca S. (Italy)
Hi Luca,
I love Italy.
But I am not quite sure what gender you belong - your name is a little confusing..
belong to
I'm a male, it does'nt exist a feminine version of it.
And however i have big problems to write english but i don't write in italian.
Bye
Luca S. (Italy)
Ey Luca,
Do you like Firence or Florenz as we say here?
My parents are there right now..
Yes i like Florence (firenze) but i live now near Turin (Torino) but i was born and raised in Sardinia (Sardegna)... However we're a little OT.
Luca S. (Italy)
Light shedder i meant cool not coll sorry, and there is no official word on the non-phixion album, the closest youll get anytime soon most likely is "secret society" which is all of Non-Phixion and Necro, or the recently released circle of tyrants album.
oh and to those talkin about the Halo creater interested in REV. it wont happen, as he is with Bungie and they cannot develope for any home consoles other than Microsoft's, and i dont see him quitting Bungie anytime soon with the money he makes with the Halo frnchise with them
i'm not german at all and i'd like to know how to speak german as well as a few other languages as well
i wish i knew spanish so many people speak spanish around were i live.
