Sorry, I am still in shock, since I have only a fraction of the posts that other Sages have. But try to write interesting and well-researched posts and you will be noticed by the NOA´s.

***IALS BLOTTED OCCURRENCES***

Anonym hat gesagt…

Falafelkid and All,

This is the infamous truth spewing D-Bone!!!

First and foremost, great job on the interview. You're a lucky dude to even have met Miyamoto, much less interview him.

Now, let’s get down to business. It's time to bring things into perspective.

-Is this a blog? Yes.

-Can Falafelkid say and believe anything on it he wants? Yes

-Does this blog allow comments on blog entries? Yes

-Should the comment makers be allowed to say and believe anything they want on it? Yes

So why all the fuss???

1. Let Falafelkid decide who and who’s not comments should be allowed on this blog. If something is crude and ridiculous, he has the power to delete comments. If he hasn't, don't make it your business. Falafelkid does a great job of letting everyone have their own opinion and voice. Rarely does he sensor.

2. Understand that sometimes perception is more important than semantics. Many are guilty here of trying to keep their semantics open ended and non-committal, for reasons I believe to save face, Falafelkid included. Much of this stems from the SPECULATION of projection technology. While Falafelkid has semantically avoided committing to projection, I know in his heart of hearts he thought it was really going to happen. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but I disagreed from day 1. I "kept the door open" semantically for projection technology, because anything is possible, but I made it very clear my hard stance was no projection. I, along with others, very much perceived Falafelkid as having a hard stance for projection technology, regardless of his semantical statements leaving the door open for the secret to be anything else.

So, you need facts, here you go.

A) He used circumstantial evidence that defied logic to convince himself of the projection technology. His evidence was a smaller machine, quotes from executives, and no game footage. I'm sure in hindsight, with this recent interview, he is looking through the same pair of glasses I was looking through then and now. Those claims were farfetched and a little ridiculous. We tried to tell him otherwise, but he refused to believe. His commitment and desire for it clouded his judgment, I believe.

B) He always persisted on bringing projection technology up. For example, read posts in the past to where he more than less admitted he was honing in on projection technology. (I'll be more than happy to go through the archives and quote it if requested, but those who have been following this for awhile know exactly what I'm talking about) Go back and read the round table he did a few weeks back. Notice how quickly he brought up the projection technology. Now, look at the Miyamoto interview. They were all great questions, but the one that just had to be slipped in there and actually came off awkward to me, was about projection technology. Regardless of semantics, THAT is perception. I see right through you. You can say all you want about how you thought it was unlikely, but I know what is really going on.

3. Everyone relax, Falafelkid has provided us Nintendo fans top-of-the-line information and entertainment for free...and I say thank you for that.

With all of that said, I am a big Falafelkid fan. 90% of the time I agree and think his information and ideals are accurate, responsible, and sensible, but the whole projection thing to me was his Achilles heal. It almost hurt me every time he pushed it out there. It's like seeing someone you respect get drunk and spew out non-sense...it makes you cringe.

Free speech is a beautiful thing, but with it comes responsibility. Each of us must understand that we can say anything we want, but there are repercussions, such as negative feedback to comments that are a little "out there", you, me, and Falafelkid included. Falafelkid has made some comments that have been a little out there, and we responded to those comments, and he handled it all very well. Do not hate if they don't agree, do not hate if you don't agree.

Also to all, stop using this buzzword "speculation" as your wild card for conversation dominance.

Speculation is good, but baseless speculation deserves everything it gets...and it got it.

Thank you for your time,

D-Bone

Thats exactly how I felt D-Bone well said -I totally agree with you!
Nevertheless Im still fed up to the back theeth
about him insisting on a so called fact but then suddenly changing his mind after the interview and leaving us in the mist..

"Hello,

I am a member of the German gaming press and wanted to bring this to everyone’s attention. I have been in contact with a supposed employee of Zoonami in the UK concerning the rumored game “Guts N‘ Glory“................."

Falafelkid, are you the said journalist responsible Darwin emails?

Anonymous said...

I bet that means that the people who decide on sages read this blog. That's pretty cool.

Falafelkid said...

IALS. When did D-Bone apparently post that and where? It sure wasn´t here and that sure doesn´t sound anything like D-Bone. Much more likely it´s your own writing.

While Falafelkid has semantically avoided committing to projection, I know in his heart of hearts he thought it was really going to happen.

You are completely wrong.

I disagreed from day 1. I "kept the door open" semantically for projection technology, because anything is possible, but I made it very clear my hard stance was no projection.

So did I.

I'll be more than happy to go through the archives and quote it if requested.

Please do. You will find nothing.

I never changed my mind. I absolutely always maintained that my opinion was that any kind of 3D technology was very unlikely. I merely wanted to point out the general feasibility of this tech, since plenty of people ruled it out completely, which is just as wrong.

The Miyamoto interview made me believe in this possibility even less. So, sorry. That was a marginal thing, no big change there, as much as you would like to make people believe that. Nothing to see here. Move on.

Hi Anonym.

I have only once contacted Zoonami and it was not an ´off-the-record´ thing. They were happy to state that no such game was in development.

With his inside sources, this sage said that Sony implemented the gyroscopes as early as September or October, but a Sony exec said it was planned two years ago.

That is true, but check the wording carefully. Sony decided on the technology as early as last autumn. Some developers were told as early as February or March. This is what a second party developer told me in confidence.

Most developers found out no earlier than E3 2006, though. And, obviously, SCE must have tossed the idea around for ages. In fact, there is a Gamespot interview with a Sony exec from 2004 or so in which this technology is specifically mentioned.

Hope I could clear that one up for you.

And just a quick word about the world cup, since a number of you have picked up on it. I thought that Germany dominated yesterday´s match most of the way. But I respect Italy for successfully mobilizing their resources after almost 120 minutes. Those were beautiful goals and I can´t argue with that. Congratulations, Luca S. ;)

++EXCLUSIVE++ Shiggy confirms Rev controller features for Zelda exclusively to me ++EXCLUSIVE++

In the comments section almost at the end !
I assume its just a matter of time til D-Bone himself confirms it to you!

And dont beat about the bush Falafelkid, irrespective of your "Why projection technology makes sense" theory, what bothered me most and what was the last straw was how you thoughed it out numerous times that a bigger secret exists and now you sit there and draw the curtain over it like nothing ever happened.
You should have at least apologized to your loyal reader base for getting their hopes up.Dont talk the talk if you cant walk the walk.Your big secret turned out to be non existant and far-fetched.You had some real good power. But you betrayed peoples trust ever since you kicked it out there and remember
Mr. journalist? Its called claptrap or straining after effect!
Your big secret had nothing to do with nothing and I'm here to set the
record straight KID,thats why I'm the IALS.I shed light on blotted occurences.

Anyway, its all water under the bridge now.
Its all good.

Just for the record, I´ll post a copy of my reply here, too.

IALS

First of all, you might want to read the post entitled Why 3D projection makes sense in question. It talks about possibilities, no more. The title is misleading, to some extent. It should have read ´Why 3D projection can make sense´, I guess. But read it, for crying out loud.

What was the last straw was how you thoughed it out numerous times that a bigger secret exists and now you sit there and draw the curtain over it like nothing ever happened.
You should have at least apologized to your loyal reader base for getting their hopes up.

I have never taken back my prediction that there is still a last secret and it´s supposed to be a big one. I was told by a reliable source from within Nintendo and I have no reason to believe otherwise.

Please read what I write and stop this pathos-laden mumbo-jumbo about betrayal and shedding light and what not. You´re clearly trying to make up for lack of substance with your use of (mildly) fancy words. It´s getting on my nerves.

First wanted to congratulate you.

I live in Spain, but it won't let me register.
Will I have to invent my address?

I haven't gone on the forums in such a long time...I think my profile name is Scyen_X...or something. I got bored of trying to...rank...up...? How do you say that? I don't know. I've abandoned so many things. I had a Metal Gear Solid blog and I forgot my password.
