Sports game in the works for DS, maybe Wii

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games will get some strong competition, at least on the DS. An announcement regarding a big sports title will be made at the Leipzig Games Convention in three weeks. A Wii version may also be in the works.

I know this is cryptic. Just work it out yourselves and remember that my last prediction came true.

  2. Hey Touch-Gen.

Id say its about a big international sporting contest called the Olympics 2008.

Wrong. It´s something a little more seminal.

Why wouldn´t they? Matt Casamassina from IGN does just the same... he only reveals a few cryptic clues and lets you work out the rest. Same here.

  4. Hi Raphael.

    I guess it´s a tennis game! :-)

It´s more than one sport and it compares to ´Mario & Sonic´ in that respect. It´s not character-based, as some have speculated.

  5. Falafel,

I wonder if you meant to say sem-annual?

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/seminal

Lets see, competes with Mario and Sonic but is not character of olypics based.

Basically, mario and sonic is an olympic sports themed mini game collection.

    So....

    Hmmmm....

    Seminal??? Can't get over that.

    Thinking some more...

    Does it have international appeal?

    It is sport related.

    On ds and maybe wii.

Maybe it is just some generic track and field game.

That's not very creative thinking on my part.

    ...still thinking...

    Starting to get hungry...

Whatever happened to that International Light Saber guy who used to frequent here?

Wait...Maybe I don't want to know the answer to that.

  6. Hi Dbone.

    4. highly original and influencing the development of future events: a seminal artist; seminal ideas.

    That´s the definition.

  7. LOL!!!

So it influences the development of future events.

Must be a mini-game about politics.

    : )

You're the president...every decision could mean the end of the world or world peace.

No, that is not too catchy. I give up.

I vote for whomever stated the raving rabids track and field. I think I read that in the comments on gonintendo. You do have that insider edge at Ubisoft so I'll just go with that.

  8. I'd say so Fede, its my guess as well. Konami have been kind of umming and arr'ing for the Wii (ok they gave us Elebits and soon to be Dewey's) but the game on DS first doesnt surprise me.

  9. Since you're so close with Konami dear Falafelkid ;), how about some clues on a possible PAL release of Winning Eleven for the Wii?
Konami did announce they were working on a Wii Footballgame, didn't they?
I'm not sure they meant another game apart from the Japanese Pro Evo.

  10. I take it you were on about Deca Sports then. It looks crap.

(Not that Mario vs Sonic doesn't)
