Nintendo announced two new accessories for the Wii, the ´Wii Zapper´ and the ´Balance Board´ to be used with ´Wii Fit´. Here are some pictures and videos of both from Nintendo´s E3 2007 press kit, along with some other stuff.
Wii Zapper
Wii Fit
´Metroid Prime 3: Corruption´ (Launch: 27th of August 2007)
´Super Mario Galaxy´ (Launch: 12th of November 2007)
´Super Smash Bros. Brawl´ (Launch: 3rd of December 2007)
galaxy und metriod schaun echt ok aus aber ansonsten seh ich echt NIX was mich vom hocker haut....kein plan....die games auf den anderen konsolen schauen einfach viel viel krasser aus.....na ja was solls
that zapper attachment is sooo BAD-ASS! its a huge improvement on the pistol zapper design we'd been shown previousely because the control stick would have been too unco to use on it.
i rekon i could have fun just running round the place making 'Bang' sound effects with this thing :P
HAMMER may have been cancelled, but they didn't show off Disaster either... let's hope Disaster isn't cancelled, too.
i believe that with the absolute BLITZ of 1st party awesomeness coming almost immediately, they're having to hold off on *SOME* 1st party games for next holiday season... right?
*id THINK that itd be good for rail shooters and average for fps. lets face it, if u buy this periferal to make a game more emersive then its a step back, in some ways, because you cant do nunchuck movements like chucking grenades in 'red steel' etc.
that wat u meen grand b? true i still cnt say realy
i thing it woulda bin mad if the had chucked some iron sights on the zapper and included options to turn your crosshair off in games. thatd b too cool. peow peow
According to GoNintendo's interview with Beth Llewelyn, Project H.A.M.M.E.R. isn't cancelled, it's being shelved off. No one's working on it at this time.
actually the whole design of the 'wii zapper' is messed up.
im assuming that most right handers hold the wii-mote in their right hand. the natural position for a right-hander to hold a firearm is left foot forward. this position would mean that a right-handers left hand would end up on wii-mote instead of their favoured right.
this is a problem and will mean people will have have to choose whether to go against the natural way they use a gun or the natural way they use the wii-mote.
I said there would be no big thing. Look at the Wii Balance board. In my face.
Well the zapper was known to be, but it looks much improved. Nice! Resident Evil and FPS games on Wii here I come.
And oh look MoH(Medal of Honor supports 32 player WIFI? Who said the Wii was weak? ha....ha.(take that Sony and Xbox fanboys)
I am now thinking there is somthing else? (besides a Mic atachment for Wii-mote)
So, the Wii balance board. Some, many core gamers will say its just another fad gimmick? Many core gamers just want to game and don't necessarily care about excercising on their console?
But think about this. Think about the Wii balance board being used for more traditional games.
What about an FPS? An FPS can't support the board you say?

I expected more...the engine is good but I see too many jaggies and the models and geometry could use more polygons better textures and better lighting by todays standards......the decoration, level and texture design is still awesome (albeit not as vivid as in Prime 1 Im afraid)...the samus model looks cheap...metal surfaces still dont look like metal....Galaxy proved that metal can shine like metal even on Wii....Im tellin you efficient lighting can work wonders on low rez textures and low poly models......Retro should improve the lighting......
