A PDF document reveals all?

If the Revolution will indeed be revealed at the TGS, there´s only two more weeks to go until then. It seems as if the fakers have begun their last push. There is a 21-page PDF document out there on the net. Kudos to TheAxemanCometh on this GameFAQs forum thread. See the document here. It is not only lengthy, but contains many diagrams like the one shown. They are of poor quality - and so is the grammar sometimes: ´Additional equipment can be load via USB´ can be read on page 20. Also, the detailed text is blurred out. See for yourself, but I declare it a faker´s last effort.

  1. Has been confirmed a hoax.

    Here is one link:

The text is a constantly repeating section of some Sony marketing text. Side by side comparison here:

  2. Ummm, Falafelkid...

  7. Having used blogger, I can tell you that it would be very difficult to 'accidentally' delete posts. Blogger presents you with a BIG ORANGE confirmation button, asking if you want to delete your posts.

You are lying to your readers.

  8. i dont think he said himself that he accidently deleted his posts i think som1 else said that, i think he said somthing like hes been having problems with his blog latetly or somthing

  9. This isn't a single instance of a blog, running on his own server - this is the largest blogging community online. If there are technical problems with a blog, then ALL blogger blogs will suffer from that problem. That obviously is not that case.

Nintendo have publically stated that the controller will have fewer buttons, so honestly I'm not sure why this item has been posted here. It's just another mockup, and a bad one at that.

  10. It brings in to question the reliability of the blog - if newspapers retract articles, they give good explanations. If there's no issue with the posts, put them back up! Otherwise, explain yourself.

The quote hasn't really been confirmed - I haven't seen a statement from lionhead, or molyneux, only another minor gaming site whose reliablity may or may not be as questionable as this blogs.

At the moment, Falafelkid is making it difficult for his readers to trust him, and he should be concerned about that.

  11. the annonymous guy who posted directly above SSD:

you think that's a bad mock up? you're a moron. that's the most in-depth fake created so far. the guy has included every rumor so far and made sure to shape it like a wavebird (as it's been 'quasi-confirmed' that early Rev devkits are using some kind of modified wavebird).

we can sit here and say the controller has too many buttons and the screen is impractical, and those two things are true. but the notion that this is a bad hoax is retarded.

  12. It's a bad hoax because it is fundamentally in conflict with pretty much everything Nintendo have stated about the controller so far - it is not revolutionary, and it isn't simple! The fact that they have spent a long time on it is irrelevant.

  13. I would be suprised if the rev controller has a d-pad on it - I think nintendo are going to shift away from that completely.

  14. I find the absence of any explanation concerning the missing posts very disappointing, too. As someone mentioned, the uotes haven't been confirmed by any reliable source.

  15. I meant "quotes" :)

  16. well maybe we should all stop repeating the same thing like i said b4 and wait for falafelkid to respond? just a thought

  17. He already said there was a technical problem and he lost the posts. He probably doesn't have a lot of time to re-write and repost them.

  18. how fucking dumb do you think nintendo fanboys really are?

what are you honestly expecting this controller to be?

it seems to me no matter what type of info, fake or not, that gets released, people say some shit like "well that's not revolutionary!".

1)nintendo flatout said it was easy to copy!!!! remember this you dumbshits who will cry about how you were mislead and let down by nintendo.

2)smash brothers is going to be a fucking launch title... how freakishly different could the frigging controller be!! if it was completely whacked out you'd be bitching out of your bratty mouths at no end.

3)it's got to appeal to 3rd parties to at least some degree and contain input devices that make gaming simpler.

so think about it kids.. it's probably going to be gyros/tilt function for like camera control or maybe scroll wheels or some shit. and for anyone who thinks a scroll wheel on a controller isn't revolutionary or helpful.. well maybe not revolutionary but it's a damn good idea. i'm sick of constant menu switching breaking up gameplay.

it's not JUST the controller. all this focus on the controller is honestly the worst fucking thing that could have ever happened. and it's not like Nintendo even hyped it up that much.. that basically said "the competition will steal it" "it's based on existing technology" "it will play games not possible on other systems" and people absolutely SHAT themselves going crazy. Nintendo hasn't said anything about the controller in months people, re-fucking-lax.

and guys, when nintendo was talking about 'paradigm shift' with regards to revolution, they were talking about the console itself.. it's hardware, software, online plan, company vision, and controller. not just the controller. i swear i see so many people bringing that shit up it's ridiculous.

  19. Ummm.. When I asked if Falafelkid was going to re-post the quotes or post the video I didn't imply that I didn't believe him..

I just asked because while the quotes were still up, Falafelkid said he was going to show the video clips as proof.

    ReplyDelete
  20. He was contacted, but I don't remember by who.

To people who want the quotes: this entry proves he doesn't have much time. This rumor has already been proven fake (a while ago) but Falafelkid hasn't had the time look for stuff. It would have been posted the day it came out it he did.

  21. ^
yeah he probably got it sent to him via email ad just posted it. i don't think it would have taken much time surfing the net to discover that it contained blurred Playstation text.

  22. Its slightly off-topic, but ALL controllers are easy to copy. The rest of that quote was about how things like graphics cards are hard to copy, because of development time and such. Controllers will always be easy to copy.

I think people should stop taking that quote as proof that the Revolution won't be anything new.

  23. some of you people to chill out.

  24. I know this was supposedly confirmed as fake, but is it not interesting how the top & bottom look as if a Revolution controller [the remote] is sticking through? Look at the top and bottom. And notice how tall the controller is. I wouldn't be surprised if the "shell" ends up looking very similar to this [regardless of whether this is actually it or not].
