Please note that the above launch line-up is only valid for the USA. A number of titles (like ´Elebits™´ and, seemingly, ´ExciteTruck´) will not be released in Europe until 2007. All in all, Germany´s Wii launch will be accompanied by 27 titles.

Strangely, Nintendo´s own ´Wii Play´ and UbiSoft´s ´Blazing Angels™ Squadrons of WWII´ are missing from the US launch list above, while both are penciled in for a launch release over here in Germany (´Wii Play´ being bundled with a controller). Additionally, the German list mentions 5 games by ´System 3´ (´Gottlieb Pinball Classics´, ´Super Fruit Fall´, ´Impossible Mission´, ´Leaderboard Golf´ and ´Tennis Masters´).

Finally, Germany will get 31 ´Virtual Console´ games. There is no mention what the additional title is.

Wii will launch with 32 titles; I count 13 exclusive games. In difference, the PS3 will launch with 21 titles, 7 out of which are exclusives. Clearly, the Wii´s software line-up is stronger.

  2. CelicaCrazed: Sonic won't be out until 2007.

In regards to the Virtual Console, the launch looks quite strong :) I'm honestly surprised the amount of backlash that seems to prevail. "It doesn't have SMB!" or "No Zelda: LttP! Lame!" ...people have no patience these days. -shakes head-

I will buy Sonic, Zelda, Red Steel and Call of Duty 3 at launch.

    And you ?

I can't wait for Mario Galaxy.

Will you play test Wii games for the television station you work for ?

  6. I think the release line up is pretty good.

For me the almost definite purchases are...

Zelda, Wii Sports (obviously), Monkey Ball and Red Steel this side of xmas.

Then Metroid, Mario Galaxy, Excite Truck, Trauma Centre after xmas.

Not forgetting all the VC games!

  7. I am getting the JP model and the one thing that may hurt me for now is System 3's games. Well depends on how good their games are. I loved Leaderboard Golf back on C64.

Gottlieb Pinballs were nothing spectacular but its hard to get a good pinball fix on a console. Depends on what tables they put on there.

Last Ninja is what I am wanting, badly.
