Little conspiracy theory tidbit.

Nintendo-3D.com redirects to some German company for 3D projectors (mainly for fairs and events). This is just an amusing find. Obviously, there is no connection to Nintendo here.

  1. Dear Falafelkid,

    Geist 2 ?
that must be a very bad joke !

    Iwata mentioning Nintendo ON ?

    Come on!

    Only 150 dollars?

That would be suicide just like it was the case with GameCube because people will think its a toy or targeted at kids or lacking high end hardware!

As far as the games are concrened I think he will show a mixture of trditional titles like the new Mario and Zelda, original unconventional titles with mass appeal sorta like Brain trainer,ElektroPlankton or the cooking game and last but not least some exclusive mature (perhaps even epic, melancholic, surreal) heavy-hitters from Suda51 and Shini Mikami(Grasshopper manufacture-Capcom)hopefully Zoonami,Retro,Konami,Sega,Namco,Lucasarts,Valve and perhaps even something adventure or strategy related orginal from Tim Schafer,Peter Moulneaux and the people behind Age of Empires(that goes more under wishful thinking I guess).

On top of all that there will be a special guest appearance by none other than Mark Reign sharing the stage with Regginator who will take his chance to polish up his image by clarifying(just like in the eurogamer interview)his statements and announce a wi-fi enabled UnrealTournament2007 for Nintendo Revolution with great eclat.Mark Rein alongside his new buddy Regginator will form the new Super Mario Bros. duo gain cult status and eventually take over the world after staring in numerous plumber movies. They will become legends and never be forgotten.
Oh and did I to mantion that this union also represents the Revolution's last secret ?

    :)

As always remember where you heard it first !

    You hear me Falafelkid ?

  3. Why no Geist 2? The only reasons people give for it being a bad game are the graphics, framerate, and linear gameplay. Obviously with a stronger console (one nearly MADE for FPS's) all of these problems would be solved. I thought it was fun and I looked over its flaws very easily.

I don't know if they'll talk about it this year, though.

  4. Hey Falafelkid,
This may sound kind of random, but do you remember that mysterious picture (I believe you posted it at the time) that was circulating the internet some time before Iwata showed the controller that looked like a black and white Wavebird controller with a bean shaped B-button, analog stick and D-pad swapped, and a big hole of some sort in the top? I believe that whoever distributed the picture claimed it had something to do with the Revolution controller, but it wasn't necessarily the controller in itself.

Well, I just remembered that picture today, and realized how much it looks like it could be the shell for the revolution controller allowing it to play ported games. The hole in the top looks like it would be a perfect fit for the Revolution controller to slide in. In fact, it looks quite a bit like the mock-up IGN made after Iwata's presentation.

Maybe it's just a total coincidence, or maybe there was more to that picture than we originally thought!

    Weird, huh?

  5. Hi Palmbeer. Thank you for your research. TMP is, however, totally unrelated. The reason behind the referral is this: TMP both manufactures as well as rents out 3D equipment. Some years ago they had built a prototype that produced a fake 3D image from a Nintendo console (eiter N64 or GCN I guess). This project was never official, there was no collaboration with Nintendo whatsoever and it was abandoned a long time ago. That is why they still own the URL, they just told me on the phone.

As far as the 3D consortium is concerned, you seem to have overlooked the fact that Nintendo is only a standard member, while Sony is what they call a ´steering member´. Sure, they also manufacture tv screens and broadcast equipment and will thus have other interests in 3D technology (outside of videogames). But I don´t think this proves anything about Nintendo.

  6. Hey Palmbeer. As I have said a number of times, I cannot get myself to completely dismiss the ON video as fake. However, I would not rate the actual helmet shown as very likely. It doesn´t fit the console in terms of design, for a start. But there could be a similar hardware add-on.

About the name: I don´t think ´RS´ or ´Revolution System´ are likely names. There is a reason they are hiding both games and the name from us. So, obviously, the name will give away the secret. So it will be ´Nintendo 3D´ or ´Nintendo Voice´ or something like that. You get the jist.

  7. Unrelated. At least the following names redirect to http://www.tmp-mediagroup.de as well:

  8. Yeah, I live in Connecticut and they have those interactive floor projectors in the mall and the movie theater nearby. One of the things that they project is the fish and bridge thing that was at E3.

  9. Hallo Falafelkid,
