  1. you always seem to go on vacation just before big news is "due" and are scheduled to come back after the suspected date... *que suspicous music*

  2. I agree with noxy.

Then, Falafelkid on vacation are great news!!!

    XD

    ReplyDelete
  3. so go more on vacation. we get more great news.

... btw you have realy allot of vacation. I want that too.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I've got a question for you, falafelkid. Do you think anything will be revealed (official name, some game announcements...) at 2 december?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Another vacation? Well, have fun!

    ReplyDelete
  6. What about the 2nd day of December? I'm betting that Ninty is going to release big news already on the 22nd day of this month, November! Because ain't that the XBox360's USA release date?

  7. oh, does anyone know, what "jim merrick's tribute" is?

it is most likely a video from matt c., mentioned in the latest n-query.

  8. After the revealing of the Revolution Controler this blog hasn't been very good with posting information.... I've found much better sources

  9. basic seize attraction

: If big news come befor other's bigger news. It will make that first big news look less importan. (Or not exist. If it big and close enough)

so he may go and take xbox360 news and wait for some time on his vacation. But if sony or nintendo move (To reduce buying of xbox360) he can quickly get extra news.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well last week my girlfriend dumped me, and that really sucked.

Then the thompson drive in my Xbox died. So I was pretty pissed.

But then just yesterday I scored a date with this cute girl who wore glasses AND I got free McGriddles.

...oh those weren't the type of developments you wanted to stay posted on?

    ReplyDelete
  11. its only an xbox. falafelkid, are u rich? or does vacation meen locking yourself inside and playing vid games.

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's like this
*first you go to music shop for buy some cd.

but along the way. you found ps3 sale at cd's price.

now you take it at home ... and forget *

sony or nintendo may used this way to make people to forget x360 ... at last till his product out

so falafelkid may wait for sony or nintendo's move

  13. Just thought of somthing, nintendo keep saying that thay have only shown us bits of the revs capabilitys so does that mean that they might continue with the '3d' theme? this supports the possability of AR or 3d displays. which by the way i dont think there will be.

    ReplyDelete
  14. have a nice holiday :) Didn't I hear somewhere that we'd know some more about the rev before the end of 2005? knowing the world there will be another leaked mini-thing as the countdown to the new year is going on ;)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Maybe revolution's name may link to it's capability. But we don't know that it will continue with the 3d theme or not. (I think it will.)

Maybe befor end of this year Nintendo may show it's real name. That last blog say : revolution isn't it's name anymore. -SO its name (just) has decide.-

Also it's just 6 month BEFOR it's start sale. Nearly all of thing must show befor that time. at last for developer make game(s) for it. ... or at last befor everyone buy other console already.

    ReplyDelete
  16. so.. what happened with the revealing revolution blog?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nothing will be annouced Dec. 2nd mark Anonymous's words.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The Revealing the Revolution Blog is down because too many people followed Falafelkid's link.

  19. @ gamephoria:

sorry, but i dont quite agree. N has said that nothing will be revealed at the game symposium. and i think they wont reveal anything, but rather Shigsy will drop some clues (we all know he sucks at keeping secrets.. either that, or he loves the speculation :))

    ReplyDelete
  20. Damn the Xbox360 madness is already starting. So far a lot of people are starting to line up around their local Best Buys, Walmart, Circuit City, Target. There are some reports as if close to 100 are already lining up and its only going to get bigger. Some even lined up as early as 7am. Its gonna get crazy out here.

    ReplyDelete
  21. if the name did have somthing to do with what the mech can do it would possably have giroscope somewhare in the name, nintendo giro etc. but this a bit cheesey. I now think that the revs name will have somthing to do with its other main feature. this would explain why they havent told us the name.

Why would they make the name relate to what it can do?
Because their last 2 consoles did. N64- 64 bit
    Gamecube- cube

    ReplyDelete
  22. dont forget the Nintendo DS

    ReplyDelete
  23. Um ...

some people think the DS stands for dule screen but i also heard it was just somthing random that sounded good.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Nintendo ON is still alive!! Well just according to this guy who calls himself "N5_DEV". I think he's just Osoko Tanaka alter ego. The guy talks cryptic just like Osoko. Even when talking normal you can picture Osoko talking like this. He even has the nerves to diss Osoko to cover his tracks. He is also apparently European. Notice how he wrote out the date "16 September" on the Nov 5th post. If he was American he would have written "September 16". On his last recent post, he is asking everybody to send him questions so he can answer them. I'm not even gonna bother exposin him as a fake, I actually look foward to the bs that he's gonna come up with LOL.
Here is the url to his blog: http://revolutionspecs.blogspot.com/

Weird how a lot of these blogs are from blogspot.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It's like this : There is Nintendo , Sony and Microsoft playing a strategy game.

    Now Microsoft make his move.

Nintendo or Sony must make some move to reduce Microsoft's point ... But who make this move will lose his turn.

Both Nintendo and Sony don't wish to lose his turn... But some one must.

So Nintendo said that he will not make a move at the game symposium. It's to make sony move first.

But if sony don't really move. Now who?

    ReplyDelete
  26. @nz

    @nz

Nintendo said DS stands for Developer´s System (for to help developers on create new kind of games and so...). It was just a codename in the beginning, but they found people like it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Since the last few post have been about the DS. On the December issue of the Target catalog, they listed the Nintendo DS for $99 in stores only by the way. $99 is a great deal for the DS. Now it could be a price mistake, but you never know. I got this info from CAG by the way. So much props to "FatBoyInside" from CAG for the find.

Take a look at the Target december catalog yourself: http://catalog.target.com/december/default.aspx?action=browsepageflash&storeid=2413636&promotioncode=target-051121-DECEMB&pagenumber=1&swfdir=%2fkidscatalog%2fflash%2ftoycatalog%2f&versionnum=1.4

After the catalg finish loading up then search for the Nintendo DS and you'll see.

  29. "Rumour : IBM's Broadway Complete

RevoGaming has heard from sources inside the development community that IBM has finalised the Broadway processor and is showing it to developers. Details inside.

The details come from two different sources inside the development community. One source revealed the information to RevoGaming around three weeks ago, whilst the other revealed it to us a few days ago. We were waiting for a word from another development insider before we would report it.

Apparently, the "Broadway" processor is finished, and IBM has shown plans and a prototype to Nintendo. After some discussion, it has been shown to select developers. One source said that the processor was a dual-core one, whilst the other would not reveal any technical information.

Both sources would not talk about ATi's "Hollywood" graphics chip or any other internal Revolution components. The names of the sources cannot be revealed at their request, nor the developers they work at.

There is no official word from Nintendo, so this should still be classified as a rumour.

    RevoGaming will keep you updated."

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wait, so the processor's only been completed now?! That makes me highly doubt that rumor. Cell has been complete since forever, and if I remember correctly, the Xenon spec was complete nearly a year before the X360 launch.

    ReplyDelete
  31. It sounds quite in line with what we heard, ie. that most developers currently work on upgraded gamecube SDK's because the final system wasn't ready yet.

Even the xbox360 chipset wasn't completely ready until this summer - remember the stories about xbox demos running on G5 hardware...

    ReplyDelete
  32. "Sony CEO Howard Stringer has given the clearest indication yet of the company's launch plans for PlayStation 3, stating that the next-gen system will enter the market at between $300 and $400 when it arrives in mid-2006."

    Source: Forbes magazine

  33. uhm, that should be FORTUNE magazine. Sorry

    ReplyDelete
  34. Revolution's processor except cpu's clock speed are all finish for long.

Also Cell is cpu's architecture (not cpu). Yes it's finish for really long. but on intel's cpu - -.

Gamecube SDK is likely similar to Revolution. so now all developer (maybe except nintendo) who make game for Revolution Must used Gamecube SDK. any change in Revolution will finish later.

Ps3 price between $300 and $400... Bad news we don't know that set look like x360 $299 set or not (but we do know that x360 will reduce it's price on that time). good news we do know that it's don't have router and hdd

Still remember the stories about ps3 (fake) demos running on (fake) hardware ?

    ReplyDelete
  35. so in the end ,it looks like no big info will be revealed on this very day, november 22nd... what a dissapointment. i think this keep stuff secret marketing technike is getting kinda long and Ninty must reveal news soon so that gamers can start deciding whether they will buy their system or sony's or microsoft. in any cas i know what i'll be getting, right folks ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yup I agree with Tim...Miyamoto was quoted to saying that those developers who don't have revolution sdk's then they could use the current gamecube sdk to develop for revolution. He said this in an interview at the Nintendo World Store.

    ReplyDelete
  37. To all, sony sucks, they are the weasel of the videogame world. and ppl still trust them. they did the same with ps2. they show you this and give you that.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hey Falafelkid...did u happen to get a dev kit for xbox360 when you recieved it?

  39. About sony's XCP news look this

Yea thats the one. but it still proves my point they give a name for a reason.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ten reasons not to buy a 360 and wait for Rev is on IGN right now. Take a look. I cant wait for Super Smash Online... that's just sick... I think i'll be a college drop out because of that game..

    ReplyDelete
  42. There is no reason for Nintendo or Sony to release spoiler information yet, cos face it, unless you've pre-ordered a 360 you've got a very limited chance of getting one before January/February next year. So the people who were going to buy a 360 by Xmas are those who are absolutely commited to it. Which means there aren't really many 'lost' sales for Nintendo, especially when you consider that they aren't that concerned with directly competing with the 360.

They'll start releasing the real spoiler information next year to stop the 360 from building too much momentum, same with Sony. Hopefully they'll give us more tid-bits to keep us going before then (screenshots by end of January pls!), but don't be surprised if things like the specs, gameplay videos + the super-secret-final-revolution really don't get released until GDC or E3 next year.

    ReplyDelete
  43. 10 reasons aye, I can think of 20.

    ReplyDelete
  44. For x360 pre-order. Nintendo make his move by show us joystick. Also sony make his move by show us (Fake) ps3 under-playing game.

    Only 2 reson i don't buy x360 now

1: x360 may not hit maket like old x-box. (so i better not buy it)

2: If ps3 or revolution have something to win x360 ... x360 it self will reduce price. Ms also say some thing about reduce x360 price by 6 month. same time when ps3 and revolution start it's sale. (so can buy it in low price ... maybe x360 $400 set may reduce to $300 or under "IF" ps3 really go for $300 - $400 ... I know Bill can pay that)

    ReplyDelete
  45. M$s loss per unit is around 126 Dollars!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yes . M$ been loss money per unit thay sale around $126...

If ps3 really make it $300 - $400 ... it's more than $126 loss money per unit for sony.

It's clearly that ps3 cost much more than x360. So it's price should much more than x360. But sony might aim for price war. (or fake us again to reduce saleing of x360 till it's real under playing game finish)

If it's in my line about price reduction war it will like this :

    - x360 start sale at $400. (we know that)

    - ps3 show it's best look under playing picture and come in same price as x360. (also make ps3 as entertainment center by let us buy music/video to ps3 hdd vas his store - but not allow to rip cd music or stream form pc - load it to psp. also bring back .acc ... and get advantage on that)

    - x360 can't play hd-video (yet). To clear his stock 'OR' To become pay-for media center (like ps3). x360 reduce price. and follow ps3. that time it may sale under $350. or even $300. (for $400 set)

    - Nintendo who know this maket well prepare for that point already. and start sale at $200 or less (so I say revolution for $99 is posible ... if it don't really have any thing to fight). Also show us revolution's true face. or become pay-for media center (by add usb hdd). or even hold back revolution's plan. ... (we don't know yet but nintendo have some thing hiden for revolution)

    ...Console war ...cruel.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Opps. Other reson i don't buy x360 now is some thing M$ alway have.

  51. As I think sony fake us.

    http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=27902

ps3 cost much more than x360. So it can't sale same price as x360. (some time I think sony may do it $400 to remove revolution form the field also sale his music online and fight apple)

Too bad last mgs was make for ps3 only. T-T
Some day please remake for other.

  52. Can anyone tell me if there has been anything official or in an interview that there is still a big piece to the Rev to be announced or is it only a rumour?

I am trying to tell someone that there was but cant find the info and they dont believe.

    ReplyDelete
  53. how could you not find somthing conferming that its everywhere

    ReplyDelete
  54. @ grandmaster b

    There`s nothing official, that
there is a "big" missing piece.
But if you believe `our´ source,
    you`ll begin to understand! ;-)

    1. read this comments

    2. read this:

    http://cube.ign.com/articles/668/668117p1.html

George Harrison, senior vice president, marketing and corporate communications, Nintendo of America:

"No, we have not entirely pulled back the curtain on Revolution just yet. There are lots of exciting details about its capabilities and the unique gameplay you'll experience on it that we're keeping under wraps -- for now. We know you're very anxious to learn the full potential of the system, and soon we'll be able to share more with you!

Keeping some Revolution cards close to our chest is a strategic decision on Nintendo's part. Every Nintendo console launch in the past has been shrouded in some level of secrecy due to Nintendo's desire to innovate and provide new gaming features and technology. With Revolution, this could be the most innovative product Nintendo has ever created in the history of the company. So even though we've already shown you the basics on Revolution, you can be sure that there are still a few more surprises we're holding for a later date.

When? You'll slowly begin to know more as we enter 2006 and as the year unfolds, and especially at E3, you'll be immersed in Revolution news.

We'll be eager to hear what you have to say and think you'll be pleased with what's in store around the corner!"

    ReplyDelete
  55. @ 1.

I was wrong. I ment the comments of `Revealing the "Revealing the Revolution´ blog".

    falafelkid told us:

"[...] Lastly, about the ´big one´, I don´t know what it is (I wish), but I know there is more to the Revolution, it will blow us away more than the controller already has and that is the reason why no games are being shown yet (and perhaps also why we don´t know the final name of the system yet)."

    I asked him:

    "So, anyone told you that?

    It`s not only a wish?

    Can`t your contact-person be wrong?

(I hope your answer is: yes, no, no)! :-)"

    falafelkid:

    "Hi Raphael: Yes, no, no.

Glad to be of service ;)"

Now it`s your choice, if you believe him or not. But it`s for sure, that there`s something more about our revolution.

    ReplyDelete
  56. An article on the 360 on Forbes... Best part:

"Has there ever been as confused a launch as the Xbox 360? [...] The confusion may be intentional. Microsoft likely hoped to cover up its lack of original games available at launch."

    Read it here:

  57. Hey GRANDMASTER B!!!

There's nothing ''certain'' said that there will be something BIG but Harrison said in the IGN's Nintendo Minute 20. that: ''There are lots of exciting details about its capabilities and the unique gameplay you'll experience on it that we're keeping under wraps -- for now.'' and also: ''So even though we've already shown you the basics on Revolution, you can be sure that there are still a few more surprises we're holding for a later date.'' and still: ''Keeping some Revolution cards close to our chest is a strategic decision..'' So I would say that it is something cool because if it was something little (like Gamecube to GBA cable) they wouldn't said that it's a strategic move to keep them secret for awhile! I'm sure Nintendo won't let us down but I wouldn't be hoping for Augmented Reality or any visor or holograms! Keep your head high but your feet on the ground!

    ReplyDelete
  58. And Harrison said exactly that they have shown us the BASICS of Revolution! And I want to add emphasis to the word basics! Because doesn't it mean that they have just shown us the basis and the complete structure will be something more?
    Hope so!

  59. Guess what. That Zelda Mario movie thing was false news. It's great to know that.

    ReplyDelete
  60. has anyone else noticed alot more nintendo advertising, mainly on TV?

    ReplyDelete
  61. nz-guy
yes, nintendo advertising is finally on a [good] level - ie the ad's are nice and they are often enough. Thank goodness they have woken up to the whole advertising 'thing'

    ReplyDelete
  62. Last year i saw 2 adds for the gamecube but this year ive seenmore than that for the DS just today.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The most ads I've seen from Nintendo on tv these days are Mario Kart DS. I'm surprised to see this commercial a lot on tv. I like most of Nintendo's commercials but some of them they just don't run too much of compared to sony.

    ReplyDelete

  66. This is pretty interesting..

Remember that ''revealing the revolution'' blog which was the topic of Falafelkid's last post?

Too bad the site is frozen,
but I remember he said that the graphical style of the menu at the start of the machine is going to be ''this cool blue spiral''

Yeah, well he said it BEFORE the opening of Nintendo Wi-Fi.
Now Check the main page of Nintendo.com, the american site.

There is a big box in the upper part of the screen where all the hottest news are displayed.
Find something that relates to Nintendo Wi-Fi.

There you go. A blue spiral.

Does this mean that this guy is extremely lucky or does he really KNOW something?

  69. To Falafelkid:

I believe you should not have reported on the revealing the revolution blog. If you read all the articles you would note that he has said that he would like anyone who knows to keep it in a small community. If this guy is legit (and he certainly isn't as far crazy as other bloggers) then he has a lot to lose. Please try and remember this when posting your blogs. I believe you should take down the article, or we may never see his blog again. I very much doubt there will be another post on the revealing the revolution blog, after this.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Groovy guy you think too much.

    ReplyDelete
  71. groovy guy:

Take down the article for what? No matter if Falafelkid exposed him or not, he still will keep posting his "inside info" or reconfirming what Nintendo has been saying along. If that guy was to just stop posting today, there will be a new faker posting tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I don't know if this been posted.
    This korean website: http://ruliweb.dreamwiz.com/ruliboard/read.htm?num=1454&table=game_nin02&main=nin
They say that the picture comes from the Nintendo June 05 meeting. There is someone on the beyond3d forum who has translated the title and the text in the picture. I will just copy and past.
"At this time for the competitive reasons it [Revolution spec?] won't be revealed."
    "- Control shape and functions
    "- Introduction date and price
    "- Software lineup
"The above detail is planned to be released by the end of the year."

So maybe we will see something on december the 2nd. I don't think "it" means revolution specs but the other revolutionary aspect of the console;)

    ReplyDelete
  73. What Groovy Guy is saying could be true. About a day or two after the article appeared here, the "Revealing the Revolution" site went off-line with Freewebs saying that it had exceeded its available bandwith.

Could extra traffic from this site contributed to it?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  75. If RtR posts again, you know he is fake cuz he said that he did not want attention cuz of his job...I am not going to disclose my thoughts on him being fake or not because I do not want to start a riot... but I will say that if I was him I would not post anymore...for two reasons...

1-If he is fake: I would quit before i was debunked to keep my pride and also to keep the people that believed in thinking that i was real
so that way they get pissed at falafel kid and all the other non believers for fucking up there good ole time...

2-If he is real: I would quit because of I would not want to lose my job, just as he said he would do...

either way now is a good time for him to throw in the towel and walk away, thats what I would do if I was him...who knows, maybe, ..., ..., ...??

Any who,..., I do know that RtR is hear somewhere...I will not disclose my thoughts about him but I will say that it is certain that Falafel Kids post brought added traffic to his site...

    See You...

Also he will never tell us who is he. So he may do it again... or stop do it. he said he would ...

  84. Hey monkeyman, it is "groovy" from the RtR guestbook/forum:P. Long time no see!

All I am saying is this guy is the most realistic insider I have seen. I have followed these blogs way too much, but never with a closed mind.

If he posts again I may rethink my position on him, but I doubt he will be doing that. He said he won't post if it gets too big, and I think it is now too late.

Let's try and keep it civil here guys, no reason to get angry at me about it.

  87. Okay...I forgot to mention that 1up.com developer's roundtable discussion is about the Revolution. It is a good read. It is 6 pages long. I recommend everybody to check it out.

One weird thing about this is that most of the developers involved in this discussion don't even develop for any Nintendo platforms except for Vicarious Visions. Who knows these developers might know something about the Revolution. But the way these third party developers are talking, it sound as if they're still in the dark and still havent even got to try out the Revolution controller yet.

    ReplyDelete
  88. That Nintendo.co is fake : No one will say to some one who will buy his product like that.

Any way. We not insider or try to hack to nintendo's information. We just predicate by know information + some rumor.

  90. "But the way these third party developers are talking, it sound as if they're still in the dark and still havent even got to try out the Revolution controller yet."

Keeping in mind that they're smaller developers, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo are putting all their love into helping SquareEnix, Sega, Capcom, Ubisoft + EA to get some killer apps around launch, then as the Rev gets it's footing they'll start helping the smaller 3rd parties.

  93. My gosh, this blag is for talking about revolution rumors and for speculation not for bashing each other. stay calm. we will know soon enough what the revolution will be in its complete form. and if someone claims to be an insider, then he/she has to keep in mind that many people won´t belive them until a proper proof, especially after all those million fakes that have been around lately.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Pete: Yeah I think Nintendo is just catering to major third party publishers for right now. But I do think that it is important for them to help out the small companys too. Even though Epic's Mark Rein dissed the Revolution, he did say he wouldn't mind having the Unreal Engine on the Revolution if it is possible. The big problem is that Epic don't have a dev kit still. Now Epic might makes few games a year but their middleware is used by a lot of third party developers and publishers. Having Unreal engine packed in the revolution SDK's would be a big plus for publishers.

I would love if Nintendo offer small games to download besides NES,SNES,N64 like how Microsoft is doing for Xbox Live Arcade.

    Nintendo Prepping For E3
Press conference for Revolution already nailed down.
    by Patrick Klepek, 11/28/2005

We're half a year away from the next Electronic Entertainment Expo, but Nintendo isn't messing around. The company's already sent out a media alert about their press conference scheduled before the show kicks off, where they should be laying out all the details on Revolution we've been anxious to hear.
Though Nintendo remains vague about the announcements planned for the press conference, they've already promised "all the incredible details about Nintendo's upcoming games and hardware, including [their] next home console, code-named Revolution."

Thinking about plans for covering E3 is already causing a headache around the office, but you can definitely expect us to be on-hand on May 9 at 9:30 A.M. sharp when Nintendo cuts the next-generation ribon and pulls back the final curtains on Revolution.

Stay tuned. There's a long wait yet.

  101. Nintendo Granted Virtual Console Patent?

A patent recently granted by the US Patent Office might shed some light on how the Revolution's Virtual Console might function.

Patent Number 6,955,606 details how a new piece of gaming hardware could play game titles from technologically older systems using software to emulate the older hardware, as well as utilizing a intuitive selection interface.

In a particularly Nintendo-esque turn (that phrase invented right here, folks), the Virtual Console will offer game selection menus based on franchises and series rather than on system, meaning that Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario 64 would be on the same page, but Super Mario Bros. 3 and Kirby's Adventure would not.

The patent also mentions graphical and content upgrades to existing titles, a topic which Nintendo representatives have spoken of before. While no new programming is required for straight emulation of older games, the addition of new graphics or playable characters would necessitate some rewriting of code.

Although the patent was granted last month, it had been filed in February of 2001, indicating that Nintendo had been considering backwards-compatibility in its systems for some time.

  115. Shoxware Games:

I heard about the same rumor too. I'm not really that surprised about the rumor. Especially when Perrin Kaplan said that the Revolution will only be 2-3 times powerful than the Gamecube. Its quite odd because I read somewhere that an ATI rep stated that both Nintendo and Microsoft spent the just about the same amount of money on research & development on their ATI graphics card. I'm just taking this rumor as grain of salt for now but I do hope the Revolution's graphics is more better than the 2-3 times the gamecube

Now I'm just waitin for my January EGM issue.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Hey Guys, calm down with the "OMG, just GC graphics?"
EGM just said that pulishers said that games running on early development kits of revolution just look barely better than gc-games... We know for months now that the Revo dev kits are overclocked Gamecubes! Perrin ment that in her statement too.
According to several reports, the cpu of the revo just got finished and first prototypes were shown to developers, no one knows about the GPU, but I guess it will be as evolved in coparisons of the ones on PC as the GPU of the Gamecube was... just high-end!

    ReplyDelete
  117. If it were 2-3 times more powerful than GC wouldnt that look near what PS3 has shown already or even better?

    Powerful can mean many things.

Nintendo are also good at downplaying their consoles. It's not the focus they would have even if it were the most powerful. (although Ultra64 comes to mind but that may of been the media hyping if my memory serves me correctly)

I also dont think Nintendo would put out a low spec console. If they did it would be for a good reason such a new way of playing and I'm not talking about Nintendo ON bla bla etc. It could be anything.

It would be nice to know what it will be capable of. If Nintendo were investing in AR I would say it would be for next gen after the coming one.

But who ever knows, life is full of surprises........

  118. @nomad469

Yes. But I believe in this guy because of this little prophecies like a new color GC boundled with Mario Smash Football, or three different colors for the Micro release.

That`s the kind of things one should know if had any contact with someone who knows someone in the PR section of Nintendo. Just as to know that there is something bigger than the gyro-control, or when the presentation of Revo would be announced.

But this is just my impressions on this guy, and this has been discused on this blog already...

    -----------------------------------------

BTW, for the ones discussing on the graphical quality of Revo...The well-known fact Nintendo is going to create animation films has not been pointed enough. Japanese animation studios are really interested in to find a way to create games and high-quality 3D graphics for animation movies without dramatically changing his staff and technical resources. Such a technology will allow Nintendo to develop games and movies from the same single basis.

Maybe someone of you remember a "tech demo" at a technological show (not from Nintendo, I mean) where you could recreate Van Gogh`s Sunflowres in real-time 3D with a normal PC and a graphical tablet.

  136. That Metroid image is fake because if it was really for the revolution it would have better graphics.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Your right, they are fake.

Nintendo would never disappiont us with screens that look like that.

P.S. If you look hard enough you can tell it was sketched

Dec. 2, 2005 - Possible announcement from the Nintendo camp. Unconfirmed, but could be a suprise.

  139. @ Anon who posted many "Yousuck"s.

Your skills in copying and pasting are phenomenal. It took me a long time to get to the end of that line.

Also, this may help understand where that MP3 "screenshot" is from:

  141. I believe many are overlooking a fundamental element of Nintendo's plan for the next generation; they want to make it simple and accessible for people who have never played games before. If the console had a visor, holographic projection, etc etc, they'd be contradicting everything they've told us up until now. The "true revolution" details yet to be revealed will be amazing no doubt, but come on! THINK!

  144. And:

    -----------------------------------------

Miyamoto’s at it again. We’ve just seen the Revolution controller propaganda that Iwata-san screened at this year’s TGS. And now, here’s Shiggy at the podium, wrapping up his presentation and talking about all the possibilities the remote control offers.

“…you could use that extra peripheral with the controller for numchukus,” he says, gesturing. I feel like I’ve heard this sale a million times now. Yes, numchukus, cool for FPS, cooking games, I got it.

“There’s another secret,” he says. I perk up. “But I’m not going to go into that here. That’ll be for a later date.”

He sweeps into an abrupt closing and before I know it the gaming legend is off the stage. A picture of Mario flashes on the screen. A polite “arigatou gozaimashita” is written below.

    No Shiggy, thank you.

    It ought to be cool!

    ReplyDelete
  146. hey guys, go check out http://www.revolutionreport.com!

seems like a new game is coming exclusively to revolution and pc!

    ReplyDelete
  147. do you think it would work to kidnap a person off the street, inform the police and make demands that you wont let them go untill nintendo revels the secret to the rev.

    ReplyDelete
  148. now if more than one does it we'll definitly get some info good idea...

    am on the works already...

does it have to be someone important? how important?

    ReplyDelete
  149. Hey anybody read the new ign article about an article in famitusu with the developer of smash bros? Well it says that they have got the old director back for the rev. title, but that its a new development team. It said the new team was an existing big team that had just finished a big game. Now two important things. If HAL is not developing smash bros, I take this to mean that they are already developing another revolution title. I could be wrong, any other ideas? And two, any ideas of who this big development team may be? Can anybody think of any "big" games that have recently been finished?

    ReplyDelete
  150. The Nintendo legend flat-out stated that there's more to be revealed about the Revolution controller.

"There's another secret [about the Revolution controller]," he stated. "But I'm not going to go into that here. That'll be for a later date."

    source: ign

So the additional secret lies in the controller, not in the hardware.

    Speculate!

    ReplyDelete
  151. *SpeculationsInside*

There might be a laser beam (from the top of the controller) that projects a picture where you point the controller and maybe just when you point out the screen...

    ReplyDelete
  152. ::In regards to anonymous' post about HAL not developing Super Smash Bros. Revolution::

To my knowledge, they are working on Kirby for the Gamecube, and who knows what else. I think I'm right in assuming that HAL is a smaller development team so they can't really focus on two or three games at a time: unlike Nintendo, who seem to develop a dozen at a time and somehow pull it off.

    ReplyDelete
  153. HAL belongs to nintendo so out of the dozen they are making eleven...

    ReplyDelete
  154. Miyamoto NEVER said that the secret is related to the controller!

    He said:
''there's another secret, but I'm not going to go into that in here. That'll be for a later date.''

IGN just added [about the Revolution controller] themselves because they assumed it about the context where it was said; right after Shiggy spoke about the controller.

    Just to make things straight..

    ReplyDelete
  155. so nintendo have at last 2 secret

you could use that extra peripheral with the controller for numchukus

    1. more extra peripheral with the controller

There’s another secret ... But I’m not going to go into that here. That’ll be for a later date

    2. another secret that he not tell any thing yet

    ReplyDelete
  156. @pi:

"you could use that extra peripheral with the controller for numchukus"

I think "that extra peripheral" is the add-on with the analog stick.

    ReplyDelete
  157. and the add on analog stick is also tilt sensitive

egm wrote it in the issue with the red cover and the rev controller on it

    ReplyDelete
  158. I JUST REALIZED HOW NINTENDO IS GOING TO PAY FOR THEIR ONLINE NETWORK! It is the virtual console. Think about it. It will cost Nintendo next to nothing to distribute the games, which means that everything they gain from it will be pure profit. Now how many games a year do you think you will buy if the games are like 5 dollars. Four? Five? Ten? Since it costs nothing for Nintendo to distribute those games, all that money is profit and will be potentially used to run the online servers. So Nintendo could run a "free" online service comparable to Xbox Live solely relying on the virtual console sales. Think about this. If Nintendo makes an MMORPG the year long subscription can be like 10 bucks OR buy free with the purchase of four Nintendo virtual console games. INGENIOUS!

Can it be, that you mean the EDGE?

If yes: The sentence wasn`t well written. Only the remote-controller is tilt sensitive.

  160. shit i was about to say. if they were both gyroscopic that would be costly and confusing but there would be benifits

    ReplyDelete
  161. ...Could it be that the Rev controller does have a force-field gravity control I was hoping it would have in a distant future???

If you know what some military bases have dune you will probably be blown away if this technology being used by Nintendo..wow!

...it have been reported that a new testing of a new Non Leathal Weapon being sucsessfuly tested. The weaopn in question blown away a thick thick
concrete wall by using - air!

Now, It was a long time ago I read it on a article somewhere in the internet. And it wasn't joke. It was an article writen by science tech forum/community. (will see if I can find it again)

Anyway. Think what you could do with that kind of technology if applied to a game controller!

Imagine using the rev controller in a Zelda game. Imagine now what kind of feelings you'll get when you stab one enemy on screen with a rumble-pack. Quite nice?

Well, this technolgy if used in this controller will "actually" let you feel your "Sword" going trough the enemy!! Or if using it as a shield. You'll immediately feel how your hand or "shield" beeing pushed back for real when some one in a game stieks you on the shield!!

gah...I guess it would take zillions of years before that kind of tech reach this entertainment field
