It may be blurry, out-of-focus and filmed with a cheap camera at a weird angle, but
this next-gen Sonic demo is simply spectacular - and must be real. I am contacting SEGA to get some official confirmation. But there is no way this is fake. It´s real and, more importantly, real-time. A presenter says so. She also announces: "This next level of graphics may be coming sooner than you think."
Why do you post it in your blog? Is that a Revolution Blog?
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say "Is this a Revolution Game" xD
ReplyDeletesorry
I've seen this before. Can't remember where, but it certainly seems to be a Rev game. Ever since Sega quit the console market, they've always had Sonic on Nintendo's consoles.
ReplyDeletewoah.
ReplyDeleteThats, uh, pretty amazing. Sonic sure has come a long way! Oh, and I like the Super Sonic transformation, very Sonic 3.
Lets keep our fingers crossed that this will go to the Revolution.
video from sega closed door presentation at E3 this year.
ReplyDeletethey also presented , virtua fighter 5, afterburner, house of the dead, and sonic.

there are done on lindbergh hardware , which is not based on next gen hardware from sony, microsoft or nintendo.
Lindbergh use imagination technologie GPU ( powervr).
full video available at above link ;)
ReplyDeletethe video starts with chrome hounds for XBOX 360.
Well that does look great but if thats the revolutions graphics then its not good enough to make me happy, and i dont think thats running on revolutions hardware, i think the graphics on the revolution will be much better than that.
ReplyDeleteYep that is the video I saw at e3, looked nice, but I have never liked Sonic games very much.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Interesting fact there, sssd. Iwata will hold a keynote at the Tokyo Game Show. But wouldn´t they need to be on the showfloor with the Rev if they chose to reveal the console there? I would think it´s unlikely anything will be revealed.
ReplyDeleteJust got a reply from SEGA, saying that video is real. They won´t say which console it´s for, though.
ummmm....gyros.....aghghaghg...sorry
ReplyDeletesweet video, most of the points were covered, so I am gonna shutup now.

Mil perdones, quizá encuentren esto divertido.

I can´t really say why, but I have reason to believe this could be ´running´ on Revolution (pun intended). I´m still puzzled by the lady´s comments about those graphics coming out ´sooner than we´d expect´ or whatever she said.
ReplyDelete@Raphael: Thanks for the link. I´ll post this straight away.
Holy shit. I don't even LIKE Sonic, but god DAMN. And... "none of this was done with prerendered graphics. This is next level. And it may be coming sooner than you think." Holy Jesus. I don't think I've been this excited about a new gen since the leap from 16 to 32 bit.
ReplyDelete@anonymous Spanish speaker: I do find it amusing - but it must be fake. That´s a screenshot from a GC demo horribly distorted. The logo looks decent, but Resolution is a lame name for a console. I guess the poster himself isn´t even serious about it - but Babelfish doesn´t pick up on irony yet. Sorry ;P

ReplyDeleteIt all is a joke.
I just hope you have had some fun with it.
